Hornady is heading into 2027 with an extensive lineup of new ammunition, expanded bullet offerings, reloading equipment and firearm storage accessories. The Grand Island, Nebraska-based manufacturer has announced additions across several of its established product lines, along with new equipment designed for shooters, reloaders and firearm owners.
Leading the announcements is the new SBR Suppressed Supersonic ammunition series, developed specifically for short-barreled rifles and AR pistols equipped with suppressors. The 2027 lineup also brings new Subsonic ammunition options, additional precision bullets, an upgraded reloading kit and practical additions to the Hornady Security collection.

One of the standout introductions for 2027 is Hornady’s SBR Suppressed Supersonic ammunition, engineered to deliver consistent performance in compact, suppressed firearm platforms.
Unlike conventional ammunition designed around standard barrel lengths, the new series uses specially selected propellants to optimize supersonic velocity and pressure while reducing fouling in the firearm’s action, gas system and suppressor.
The initial lineup includes four configurations:
| Caliber | Bullet | Item Number |
|---|---|---|
| 5.56 NATO | 73 gr ELD Match | 81244 |
| 6mm ARC | 108 gr ELD Match | 81614 |
| 300 Blackout | 178 gr ELD Match | 81013 |
| .308 Winchester | 178 gr ELD Match | 81053 |
The introduction reflects the growing interest in suppressor-equipped firearms and compact shooting platforms, with ammunition tailored to their operating characteristics.
Hornady is also broadening its established Subsonic ammunition family with six additional handgun chamberings, all featuring the company’s XTP bullet.
New offerings include 9mm Luger with a 147-grain XTP, .357 Magnum with a 180-grain XTP, .40 S&W with a 180-grain XTP, 10mm Auto with a 200-grain XTP, .44 Remington Magnum with a 300-grain XTP and .45 Auto with a 230-grain XTP.
These additions extend Hornady’s Subsonic lineup across a wider range of popular handgun cartridges.

Beyond the suppressed and subsonic offerings, Hornady is expanding several other established ammunition families.
Frontier Cartridge adds a 7.62x51mm 150-grain FMJ load and a 7.62x39mm 123-grain FMJ offering packaged in an oriented 50-count configuration.
Precision Hunter gains a 6.8 Western load featuring the 176-grain ELD-X bullet, while Superformance Varmint introduces a .22 Hornet offering loaded with a 25-grain NTX bullet.
For shotgun owners, Critical Defense Shotgun expands with a 12-gauge, 3-inch Heavy Magnum load featuring nickel-plated No. 1 buckshot.
Hornady’s 2027 introductions extend beyond loaded ammunition, with several new projectiles joining its precision bullet families.
The A-TIP Match lineup gains a 6mm .243-caliber 120-grain bullet designed for a 1:7-inch twist rate, along with a .30-caliber 177-grain offering specified for a 1:12-inch twist rate.
The popular ELD-X family expands with a .270-caliber, 176-grain projectile designed for a 1:8-inch twist rate.
Hornady is also introducing a 7mm .284-caliber 180-grain BTHP AEROMATCH bullet featuring compound profiles, available in standard packaging and a 500-count option.
These additions give precision shooters and handloaders more choices within Hornady’s established bullet families.
Hornady’s reloading announcements for 2027 focus on bench organization, equipment versatility and complete reloading setups.

Among the major additions is the Lock-N-Load Classic Pro Accuracy Kit, a comprehensive package built around Hornady’s Classic Pro Press.
Designed to bring essential equipment together in one convenient setup, the kit includes the press, Hornady Reloading Handbook, Auto Charge Pro, Case Prep Trio, digital caliper, premium powder funnel kit, Lock-N-Load bushings, Sure-Loc lock rings, universal reloading block and One Shot case lubricant.
Reloading dies and shell holders are sold separately.

The new rechargeable Hornady Jet Blower offers a compact cleaning solution for reloading benches, firearms and range equipment.
Featuring four interchangeable precision nozzles, the handheld device delivers concentrated airflow for clearing debris from tools, workspaces and difficult-to-reach areas.
Machined from solid 6061 aluminum, Hornady’s new Universal Mounting Plate provides a flexible foundation for reloading equipment.
The plate can be installed directly on a workbench or recessed into the work surface for a cleaner arrangement. Counterbored mounting holes accommodate multiple Hornady reloading tools, allowing users to configure their workspace around different equipment.
Hornady is also expanding its 6.8 Western reloading components with new dies, unprimed brass cases and a Lock-N-Load modified case.

Two new products join the Hornady Security lineup for 2027, addressing moisture management, visibility and firearm component organization.
The Hornady Security 2-in-1 Dehumidifier Light combines moisture control with motion-activated LED illumination.
Designed for safes, cabinets and other enclosed storage areas, the unit uses 300 grams of color-changing desiccant beads to absorb moisture. Once saturated, the beads can be regenerated by plugging the device into a standard 110-volt wall outlet.
An integrated 24-LED motion-activated light provides automatic illumination, while magnets and keyhole mounting slots offer multiple installation options.
For firearm owners using Hornady’s Square-Lok storage system, the new AR Upper Receiver Mount provides a dedicated solution for organizing spare AR upper receivers.
Constructed from steel, the mount attaches at the receiver’s rear takedown pin lug and fits into a Square-Lok panel. The mounts are offered in convenient three-packs.

From ammunition engineered for compact suppressed platforms to new precision bullets and practical reloading accessories, Hornady’s 2027 announcements demonstrate the company’s continued investment across multiple shooting disciplines.
The introduction of SBR-specific supersonic ammunition stands out as one of the year’s more notable developments, while the expanded Subsonic, Precision Hunter and A-TIP Match offerings provide additional choices for shooters with different applications.
